Release Manager for Continental Europe

Within BNP Paribas Cardif, we have implemented the Shared Service Centre (SSC). The SSC is in charge of managing all mutualized IT activities (Business applications, production monitoring, project management) of several countries. Located in Prague, the SSC is rapidly growing. In this context we are looking for a Release Manager. Because of SSC's geographical coverage and as Head Office is located in France, near Paris, it is important that the candidate is able to work in an international context and speaks English on a daily basis.


Main Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for implementing and managing release processes of software
  • Working collaboratively with all participants in software development projects
  • Plan the release windows and cycles across a portfolio
  • Manage all aspects of the end to end release process
  • Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
  • Coordinate release content in cooperation with the demand management function based on the backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates
  • Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
  • Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time
  • Deals with release package acceptance including business sign off
  • Manages deployment of software to production
  • Negotiates plans and manages all release activities


 Our Requirements & Your Profile

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or any other degree with major part relevant to computing (advantage)
  • 2 years experience as Release Manager and/or Project Manager
  • Experience with SW development projects/processes
  • Fluent English and Czech, spoken and written (on daily basis), any other European language is an advantage
  • Independent and goal oriented personality
  • Meet agreed deadlines
  • Organizational skills (able to work in a complex environment with many stakeholders, some located in different countries)
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
  • Formal training in project management practices preferred
  • Knowledge of ITIL advantage
